Cabinet pouches are made out of 100% earth digestible materials (compostable materials). Specifically, the pouches are actually made out of wood cellulose and biomaterials. The pouch is compostable in city compost piles and is in the process of being BPI certified.

The caps are made out of plastic. We are currently exploring using a plant-based plastic for these so that they can be recycled.
Cabinet pouches are made from wood cellulose and other biomaterials, all of which are 100% earth digestible. The pouches are municipal and industrial compostable (ASTM D6400). We are also currently testing the pouches for backyard compostability.
Cabinet Gas Relief can be used for the relief of pressure, bloating, and fullness commonly referred to as having excess gas. Simethicone is also often recommended by doctors before a colonoscopy to decrease air bubbles and improve colon visibility during the exam.
It may be important to note that while simethicone is sometimes available in combination pills to treat heartburn and stomach acid, the ingredient alone does not provide relief for these symptoms. If you are looking for relief from heartburn, indigestion, or stomach upset, you may want to try Antacid or Stomach Relief.
Adults and children over the age of 12 can take one (1) or two (2) softgels as needed after meals and at bedtime. Do not take more than four (4) softgels of Cabinet Gas Relief in 24 hours unless directed by your doctor. This product is not approved for pediatric use and is not recommended for children under the age of 12. Keep this product stored away from young children. There is currently no treatment for simethicone overdose other than stopping the medication. If you have consumed too many simethicone pills and are experiencing adverse effects, contact a Poison Control Center (1-800-222-1222) immediately.
There have not been reports of any significant side effects from taking Cabinet Gas Relief. Check in with your health care provider or local pharmacist if you have questions or experience any concerning side effects after taking this medicine.
Although rare, seek medical help immediately if you develop a serious allergic reaction to simethicone. Symptoms of a very serious reaction include: hives or rash, itching or swelling of the face/tongue/throat, severe dizziness, and difficulty breathing.
