Frequently Asked Questions

Can you take Cabinet Cough Relief while breastfeeding?

If you are breastfeeding or expecting to breastfeed, please consult a doctor or health care professional before using Cabinet Cough Relief. While this medication is not typically dangerous for women who are breastfeeding, it is always best to confer with a medical professional. After examining you, the doctor may advise you not to use this cough syrup while breastfeeding. Similarly, you may be cautioned to wait for a set period of time after the last day you’ve consumed this medication before you can begin breastfeeding. In any case, it is highly recommended that you follow the advice of the doctor, as failure to do so can result in serious medical complications. That said, if your doctor determines that you can use this medication while breastfeeding, please ensure that you respect the maximum daily dosage indicated on the packaging.

How many hours between Cabinet Cough Relief pills?

Each time you are about to consume Cabinet Cough Relief, please double-check and triple-check the dosage indicated in the packaging as well as the directions for its use. This is all the more important if you intend to use this medication along with other health supplements or medications. In such cases, it is easy to confuse directions for the use of medication because you are using multiple pills at a given point in time. What’s more, also be sure to respect the age limits that restrict the use of this medication. Adults and children over the age of twelve (12) are permitted to consume Cabinet Cough Relief. In such cases, take two softgels every six (6) to eight (8) hours based on your needs. That said, under no circumstances should you consume more than eight (8) softgels in a day. In case of overdose, please contact a Poison Control Center immediately. In the event that you cannot get in touch with a Poison Control Center, please seek medical help as soon as humanly possible. This is an adult product. Therefore, children under the age of twelve (12) are not allowed to consume this product. Consequently, keep out of reach of children who fall within that age-group.

Should you take Cabinet Cough Relief regularly or when needed?

When using Cabinet Cough Relief, you are advised to use your discretion when determining the number of softgels that you should consume at a given point in time. While the maximum number of softgels is eight (8), you are not obligated to take eight (8) softgels in a day. You should take dosages that correspond to your specific needs. In other words, the number of softgels that you would take if you had a minor cough irritation would be less than those you’d consume if you had to suppress a more violent coughing fit. Like most expectorants such as guaifenesin, Robitussin Maximum Strength Cough, Robitussin Adult Maximum, and Robitussin Cough Syrup, Cabinet Cough Relief works to provide chest congestion DM max relief in a short time. Therefore, you should use discretion when determining the number of softgels that you should consume. That said, at no point should your discretion lead you to surpass the maximum number of softgels that can be taken within a 24-hour period. Once again, in case of overdose, please contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

What’s more, you may end up experiencing side effects such as prolonged vomiting, persistent hour coughs, severe nausea, chest congestion, breathing problems, and more. Therefore, it is in your best interest not to consume alcohol while using Cabinet Cough Relief. Instead, you are recommended to take softgels with a glass of water. Because Cabinet Cough Relief is a softgel, there is no need to use a dosing cup, nor do you need to measure fl oz when using this medication. Simply pour a glass of water and consume the dosage marked on the package.
