Have questions?

Cabinet pouches are made of 100% earth digestible (compostable) materials, specifically wood cellulose and biomaterials. They are also certified 100% backyard compostable and can be brought to local industrial or commercial composting facilities.

Cabinet All Day Allergy Relief is a medicine that can help relieve common symptoms of allergy, allergic reaction, hay fever, and the common cold. These symptoms include: itchy or watery eyes, itchy nose or throat, stuffy nose (rhinitis), and sneezing.

In addition to its desired effects, cetirizine may cause some less desirable side effects. Everyone is different, so some people may experience no side effects at all, others may experience mild side effects, and a small number of people may experience rare or more serious adverse effects.

Some side effects of cetirizine include: dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness, and stomach pain. Call your doctor immediately if you experience any serious side effects, such as difficulty urinating or weakness. Some patients may experience side effects that are not on this list. Check in with your healthcare provider if you have questions or experience concerning side effects.

Cabinet All Day Allergy Relief, a FDA-approved generic alternative to Zyrtec®, is a popular over-the-counter (OTC) medicine used to combat allergies. The active ingredient, cetirizine hydrochloride, belongs to a group of medications called antihistamines. Antihistamines work by blocking the action of histamine, which is the substance in the body that causes those unpleasant allergic symptoms and reactions. While 1st generation antihistamines readily act on the brain, 2nd generation antihistamines, like cetirizine possess much less activity on the brain.

For those with celiac disease or a gluten intolerance, we know how hard it can be to find safe medications and products you can trust. Cabinet is the first healthcare company to conduct batch-level quality testing through a 3rd party lab for carcinogens, gluten, and purity. This ensures that every batch of medicine that goes to market is high quality and free of harmful ingredients.

Cabinet All Day Allergy Relief is certified gluten-free and 100% free from known carcinogens. You can view our 3rd party certificate of analysis at this link.

For the curious consumer: Batch-level testing is not common practice among manufacturers. A great example of the lack of testing in this space is the massive Zanac (randitidine) recall in 2019 and 2020. Manufacturers recalled ranitidine (both brand and generic) after a cancer-causing chemical called N-Nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA) was discovered in every medicine lot.

    Great brand

This cetirizine works just as well as zyrtec for me. I love the Cabinet products because you can buy refills without having to use up and throw away another plastic bottle each time. I also like that they are heavy and stack well. The lid of this cetirizine bottle was very hard to open at first but it has gotten easier to twist open over time. It doesn't have a child lock on it but it's difficult enough to open that I don't think most small children would be able to anyway.

Jar is hard to open with arthritic hands

These are generic for Zyrtec tablets. The jar is a bit difficult to open with my mildly arthritic hands. I wouldn't recommend it for those with limiting factors using their hands. The jar contains 40 tablets that just cover the bottom. The picture on the Amazon page shows a jar packed with tablets and that certainly isn't how mine arrived - even though it contained all 40 tablets. The lid on the jar is child safe; must me held down to turn and open. There is a metal magnetic plate on top that can be lifted off to see the dose information located on the bottom. The plastic lid underneath has a barcode printed on it. It is meant to be scanned for more drug information as well as ordering refills. This starter package is currently listed at $19.99. The Cabinet hasn't added the refill package for sale yet so the price is unknown. I would recommend searching Amazon for Citirizine or generic Zyrtec as there are some good options out there for refills.

To increase sustainability it would be nice if the refill packets did not come with the tin lids, or at least make it an opt-in option.
